A typical bank robbery story. And, as the fashion goes it tries to make you feel sympathetic towards the robbers. This movie is based on the true story that happened in 1970s.
The story line goes like this. One of the British princesse does some excesses in Caribbean island and is photographed by a self styled revolutionary group. On the strength of this "asset" the leader was able to bend judicial and administrative system backwards. These photographs were stored in a bank locker. Secret service wants to get these photos without involving themselves directly, as usual. So, they hatch a plan to infiltrate a lame gang of ex-criminals. This gang with all their normal song and dance does break into the bank and decamp with the loot from the locker. If the loot had been just money the situation would not have seen the daylight as most of the locker owner refused to have acknowledged the source of money. But, dirty secrets of high and mighty were also the part of this loot. All possible means were employed to recover the contents and a good part of movie wastes its footage on this. The most coveted prize, photographs of princess, were so desperately sought by the crown that they were able to negotiate their release and safe heaven in exchange. All the lesser crooks and criminals whose secrets were in the locker had to suffer.
A racy and time pass movie, that I would not rate more than 3.5 on the scale of 10. I am not able to identify a single good thing about the movie. The language was typical British cockney, or so I think. Only for penance I would watch this movie again.
Deleted the movie promptly.
